05.4Purpose of this site

This site describes the services Veliard offers and the way we work. It is informational. Nothing on it is an offer capable of acceptance, and no consulting contract arises until both parties have signed a written agreement setting out scope, deliverables and terms.

Descriptions of past work are generalised. Client engagements are covered by confidentiality agreements; no client is named and no client artefact is reproduced anywhere on this site.

This notice covers the website only. The Veliard training platform and its iOS and Android apps are a paid service, not an informational page, and nothing in this notice governs them. They are supplied under the terms of service, with data handled under the platform privacy policy and, for business customers, the data processing agreement. Where this notice and those documents disagree about the platform, those documents win.

05.5Intellectual property

Text, layout, diagrams, source code and the Veliard name and mark on this site are owned by Veliard Ltd or used under licence. You may read, print and quote short passages for non-commercial purposes with attribution and a link to the source page. Republication of a full engineering note, or any use of our material in commercial or training material, requires written permission.

05.6Standards, marks and independence

ISO 26262 is published by the International Organization for Standardization. All other standards, product names and trademarks referenced on this site belong to their respective owners and are used for identification only.

Veliard Ltd is not affiliated with, accredited by, or endorsed by ISO or any certification or assessment body. We support clients in classifying and qualifying software tools and toolchains, and in preparing the resulting evidence for assessment. We do not issue certificates, and we do not act as an independent assessor where the standard requires accreditation or organisational independence we do not hold.

05.7No advice, no warranty

Engineering notes and other material published here are general technical commentary. They are not engineering, legal or regulatory advice for any specific programme, and they do not take account of your item definition, ASIL allocation, toolchain or contractual obligations. Do not rely on them as a substitute for an engagement or for your own analysis.

We take care that published material is accurate at the time of writing, but standards, tool versions and our own views change. Content is provided without warranty of accuracy, completeness or fitness for a particular purpose. To the extent permitted by law, Veliard Ltd accepts no liability for loss arising from reliance on this website. Liability for death, personal injury, fraud or anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded is unaffected. Liability under a signed engagement is governed by that agreement, not by this notice.

Where we link to standards bodies, tool vendors or third-party publications, we do not control that content and do not adopt it. Links were checked when published; we are not responsible for what changes behind them.

05.9Accessibility

We aim to meet EN 301 549 and, through it, WCAG 2.2 level AA. The site is built as semantic HTML with visible focus states, honours prefers-reduced-motion, and carries no content that depends on colour alone.

Directive (EU) 2019/882 (the European Accessibility Act) applies to consumer-facing digital services from 28 June 2025. The consulting side of this site is business-to-business and outside that scope; the training platform and its apps are not, and their accessibility statement is maintained with the terms of service. If something here is unusable with a screen reader, a keyboard or at high zoom, write to contact@veliard.com and say what failed and what you were using — that is treated as a defect report, not feedback.

05.10Personal data

Veliard Ltd is the controller for personal data submitted through this site. Data from the contact form is used to answer your enquiry and, if it leads to one, to run the engagement. It is not sold, and it is not used for third-party marketing.

Processing is governed by Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Cyprus Law 125(I)/2018. Retention periods, the legal basis for each purpose, our processors, and your rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection are set out in the privacy policy. Requests: contact@veliard.com. You may also complain to the Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection of the Republic of Cyprus.

Data handled by the training platform and its apps is a separate matter with a separate role split: see the platform privacy policy and, for business customers, the data processing agreement.

05.11Governing law and jurisdiction

This notice, and any dispute arising from use of this website, are governed by the law of the Republic of Cyprus.

Business users. Where you use this site in the course of a trade, business or profession, the courts of Limassol, Cyprus have exclusive jurisdiction.

Consumers. If you are a consumer resident in the EU, that exclusive jurisdiction does not apply to you and we do not claim it. Under Articles 17 to 19 of Regulation (EU) 1215/2012 you may bring proceedings in the courts of your own domicile or in ours, and we may bring proceedings against you only in the courts of your domicile. Under Article 6 of Regulation (EC) 593/2008 the choice of Cyprus law above cannot deprive you of the protection of mandatory rules that would apply in your country of habitual residence.

We do not currently participate in an alternative dispute resolution scheme and are not obliged to. If a complaint cannot be settled with us directly, a consumer may approach a competent ADR entity or the Consumer Protection Service of the Ministry of Energy, Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Cyprus.

Consulting services are supplied business-to-business. The training platform is not: it is sold to coaches, who are usually business users, and used by athletes, who are usually consumers. Jurisdiction and governing law for the platform are set in the terms of service, which repeat this consumer carve-out.

05.12Notices and corrections

Formal notices go to the registered office. If you believe something on this site is inaccurate, infringes your rights, or should be taken down, write to contact@veliard.com with the URL and the specific passage. We respond to substantiated notices within five working days.

The same address is our electronic point of contact for users and for authorities, including notices concerning content on the training platform under the terms of service. Notices may be sent in English or Greek.
